Internet Marketing - Learn how to market your MLM Business using the Power of the Internet!Depending on whom you ask, the term " Internet marketing " can mean a variety of things. At one time, Internet marketing consisted mostly of having a website or placing banner ads on other websites. On the other end of the spectrum, there are loads of companies telling you that you can make a fortune overnight on the Internet and who try to sell you some form of "Internet marketing program" One of my first recommendations is to read this article which explains how to use a web site to promote your MLM business--even if your company does not allow you to use their name or trademarks on your own site. It can be done!In addition, I encourage you to consult this article which discusses how to use our recommended web building system with any work-at-home business and beat the competition. Internet Marketing and Home BusinessHere are the marketing methods that work the best for me (in no particular order). Some of these are specific to my company but most likely there are similar options available with your network marketing or direct sales company.* Create a Custom Site either using your company’s web site builder or “custom site” option. If your company doesn’t have this option, ask them if they will consider adding it. * Use your own autoresponder so you can personalize the messages. The marketing system my company uses is integrated with the Aweber autoresponder, so I use it and think it performs very well. I personally like GetResponse a little better (more options; a little more user-friendly). They also have a free email marketing course, which is very good, especially if you don’t know much about how autoresponders work. Before you sign up for an autoresponder service, you might want to check with your upline or colleagues to see if they use an autoresponder, and if so, which one they use since you can export and import email messages to and from each other, if you all use the same autoresponder. Most Internet marketers agree that Aweber and GetResponse are the best, unless you want to install an autoresponder on your server and manage it yourself. * Monetize all your web pages (where possible) and autoresponder emails, which generates money for advertising (the “funded proposal” model). Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring is the best money-maker for me in that regard (and it also explains the funded proposal concept). * Make it easy for prospects to contact you. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told, “I submitted my information on your site because you had your contact information there so I knew I could call you with questions.” * Provide enough information up front to encourage prospects to move forward with an application (my business requires prospects to apply for consideration) or sign up. * Build a Squidoo Lens about yourself, your business, products (make sure you follow your company’s Policies & Procedures or Terms of Service), or anything else that builds your “brand identity”. * Continue to educate yourself. I’ve been doing Internet and network marketing for 4 years but I still buy a new e-book, or sign up for an online course, or go to a live seminar several times a year. * Create a blog. You can do that free with Blogger.com or WordPress.com or you can learn how to host your own blog (use Wordpress.org for that). * Create your own web site. This is more of a long-term strategy but it goes a long way to establish credibility; earn you money from affiliate programs, Adsense, etc.; and generate leads. I recommend using the SiteBuildIt program but there are other ways to do it. Please note that these are the methods that have worked best for me. You need to find what works best for you. Some of what I’ve done will work for you and some of it won’t. And you’ll discover ways to market that will work great for you but would not for me.
